A sensational new underwater photography gallery called "Beneath the Tamar" by well known specialist photographer David Maynard has opened at Seahorse World. The gallery was officially opened by West Tamar Mayor Barry Easter on 20th of May.

New Aquarium Curator for Seahorse World

Seahorse World has recently employed Lonidas Koukoumaftsis as its new aquarium curator. Loni, as he is known, has previously worked at Merimbula and Melbourne aquariums.

The mystical seahorse has always been a source of immense attraction. However, through fishing and habitat destruction, their numbers globally have dwindled. Seahorse World at Beauty Point, Northern Tasmania, is a unique facility designed to both conserve this creature, and to provide an excellent tourism and educational experience.
Very informative, questions were very welcome and it is a clean well maintained facility
